Welcome to Snaps Scraps and Stamps. I am Diane Roney, Craft Artist. I enjoy crafting and I love sharing my passion and helping others to unleash their Creative Genius. I started crafting about 20 years ago, starting out scrapbooking and working as a consultant for many scrapbooking companies. Over the years, I evolved and dabbled in all other art forms. It went from scrapbooking to making cards, mixed media projects and over the past two years I started embroidery, then sewing and now quilting. I am specializing in African Fabric. I will be selling online African Fabric Squares. I was really finding it difficult to find African Fabric in my local quilting shops. So, I ventured to New York and other places to fill this need by women who have been asking for this fabric.

I consider myself an intermediate novice when it comes to embroidery, sewing and quilting because I’ve sewn in my life. I tried when I was teenage but I never found anyone to teach me and that fell by the wayside. But I believe the Universe always has a plan and had brought me around full circle to doing this. I am so passionate about fabric. Who would have thought…a measurement challenged, non-sewer who now knows to do a ¼ seam and fabric quality, etc.

I have gained a lot of knowledge through YouTube University and many of the wonderful women who have done this for years who have been so helpful. Every day is a learning experience but I am loving it.

My goal with this website is to share my passion and to hopefully help someone else who, like me wants to start but doesn’t know how. So join me as I bring you things that I’m doing, places I’m traveling to, events and I hope to see you along the way.
