As 2017 comes to a close I want to say thank you to some very special people who walked with me through my journey this year as I embarked on something I never thought in my wildest dreams I would every do. Some of you know my story of being a crafter; however I stepped out of my comfort zone and began sewing, embroidering and quilting. I also this year stepped up my business by selling African fabric online. This has been such an enjoyment for me because in my travels I've met some wonderful people and was able to connect with them through fabric. I love it. I enjoyed picking out fabric and cutting them up into squares and strips and sending them to some fabulous women who enjoy the art of quilting as I do. I thank you.
First, I must thank God for giving me this creative energy that has sparked into my life at a later stage in my life. He has been an awesome God showing me that I have within me the capabilities to do this by believing and trusting him.
Second, my mastermind groups. Each and every morning at 7:00 a.m. I pray with my Daily Source of Light group which begins my day on a positive note with prayer and affirmation. 8:00 a.m. my Money Blessing mastermind group hosted by Cicely Bland and Phyllis Armstrong. We affirm words of blessing and prosperity into our lives. This group is so special to me because it keeps me centered each and every day. I also had the opportunity this year to facilitate some of the calls as well.
I want to thank my marketing strategist, Letitia Owens of R'Tish Creations. She has been with me through this journey, not only as a friend but as my marketing specialist. She has created the most effective advertising campaigns for my business each month. She pushed me when I thought I couldn't give any more. We would talk and come up with ideas that I never thought would come out of me. I look forward to working with her in 2018 to become a dynamo team.
Thank you to my dear friend, Pamela Henry. She is such a good friend. She believes in me and when I wanted to quit she pulled me through and each day her kick my butt talks kept me going. We worked together on our businesses and we would call each other and say okay what did you do today and she held me accountable and, believe me, I had better have had something to report.
To all the fabulous crafting women I have met on this journey, I thank you. I thank you for your support and I admire each and everyone of you. I look at your artistic abilities and I'm in awe over the greatness. Thank you for your inspiration.
Last, but not least I thank my husband, Phillip and my daughter, Kendall for sticking with me. They haven been troopers when I've traveled or took off on retreats. My husband for running with me to Ikea and buying furniture for my craft room. Walking the streets of New York carrying fabric for me. Sitting in the car while I made trips to Michaels, JoAnn's, Tuesday Morning and other various craft stores. They even know him now at the embroidery store because of his generosity buying me my embroidery chair, machines, etc.
With all that being said, I want to wish everyone of you a very Happy New Year. May God bless each and everyone of you. May we all go into 2018 with peace amongst all men.
